Dow Jones Ends 1% Higher Amid Better Economic Data. 15-06-2011

Wall Street outlook: Dow Jones ends 1% higher amid better economic data
Stronger Asian markets, better-than-expected retail sales in May (+0.2% vs. consensus estimates of -0.7%) and bullish results from Best Buy boosted the Dow by 1% or 123 pts to 12,076 points.

Meanwhile, Bernanke warned that failure to lift the government's $14.3 trillion debt ceiling may result in a loss of confidence in America's creditworthiness, which could give fresh impetus to talks on raising the legal limit on the nation's debt.
